In addition
to its research activities, AAWORD provides training to its NGO members
and to its international institutions, training in the domain of its competence
using a gender and development approach.
In December 2000, AAWORD organized a training workshop on Gender
and Economic Literature in Lusaka, Zambia. Its
objectives were:

Training Programme on New Communication and Information Technologies
Concious
of the importance attached to accessing and understanding information
and communication technologies, especially the Internet tool, AAWORD
has since April 2001, has offered small grants to its national chapters.
Depending on the choice of each chapter, these grants are destined to
the training of their members, the development of training material
or the buying of a computer and modem in order to have access to the
Internet.
