Lobby
 

    National groups composed of researchers and activists, shall be responsible, in their countries, for setting up and coordinating research, dissemination, training, lobbying and advocacy programmes initiated by AAWORD continental. In this regard, they shall work in close collaboration with the Executive Secretariat and coordinators of country or regional programmes to ensure a smooth running of activities.

    The National Group shall be an association with the vocation of an NGO at the national level and with a bureau composed as follows :

    • Chairperson
    • 1st  Vice Chairperson
    • 2nd  Vice Chairperson
    • General Secretary
    • Assistant General Secretary
    • General Treasurer
    • Assistant General Treasurer
    • Scientific Commission composed of four members, which shall elect from within it a Chairperson

    • National groups shall be de jure national Associations. It shall comprised : 
      Its geographic and geopolitical areas of intervention are:

      • North Africa: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia
      • West Africa: Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal Togo.
      • Central Africa: Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad
      • Southern Africa: South Africa, Zambia
      • East Africa: Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania
      • Europe and Americas
